A resource for higher education public relations professionals

The East Tennessee regional TCPRA meeting will be held on Friday, Jan. 28, at Walters State Community College- Sevier County Campus.  The meeting will feature guest speaker Zane Hagy, CEO of Z11 Communications of Knoxville, who will talk about about how to market to your audience and calculate the ROI of your marketing efforts.  Walters State culinary arts students will prepare lunch.  Registration begins at 10 a.m., and our final session of the day will end at 1:30 p.m. Here’s a brief description of the discussion topics:

  • Apps, Apps, Apps -  How to develop and use mobile apps to reach college students.
  • It's the Content Stupid  - A presence on social media isn't important anymore. What you say in that presence is. Are you delivering good content?
  • ROI: Proving Your Worth  - Most of us are facing budget cuts in the coming year. ROI becomes even more important when marketing budgets are limited. Learn the basics of measuring ROI for both traditional and social media, and  then learn how to share with the decision-makers at your institution.
While this meeting is planned for our East Tennessee members, it is open to everyone. I hope you and your colleagues will consider joining us. Registration is only $15 for TCPRA members. The WS Sevier County campus is only 30-40 minutes from downtown Knoxville.
