Wednesday arrivals may pick up their conference packets and enjoy a social hour with TCPRA colleagues in the Restaurant Lounge at the Holiday Inn.

Dinner tonight will be on your own. A list of restaurants and an area map will be provided at check in.

Conference registration will reopen at 7:30 a.m. Thursday on the 3rd floor of the Holiday Inn.

Learn how to interact with your student recruitment office in a more strategic way with a look at Generations X, Y and Z and why it’s important for you, as a public relations professional, to know how they think, feel and act. Examine ways you can help your student recruitment office meet its goals and look at the forces shaping the current and next generation of higher education students.

The World-Wide Web has become a primary medium by which higher education communicates with potential students, parents, alumni, and other important constituencies. Hear about best practices in current web design and search engine optimization, and how usability testing can provide invaluable feedback in the web design process. Take a look at how one school is redesigning its web space to take advantage of new technologies.

At 6:00 p.m. the TCPRA shuttle will leave the hotel. You’ll be able to sit back and enjoy the sights as we head downtown for dinner at Charlie Vergos’ Rendezvous, a Memphis tradition since 1948.

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Dinner at the World Famous Rendezvous Restaurant
We’ll start with appetizer platters of sausage and cheese followed by your choice
of those famous pork ribs or grilled chicken. Served with beans, coleslaw and plenty of
napkins; it’s that much better shared with your TCPRA colleagues!

8:00 p.m. First shuttle returns to hotel following dinner.
Want to enjoy more of Memphis nightlife on your own? Just set your watch and plan to meet at our designated pick up point for either the 9 pm or 10 pm shuttle for return to campus.
